You've probably already heard of them, because I have not actually opened a glossy magazine without one of their catalogues falling out over the last few weeks, but the team behind the lingerie retailer Bravissimo have come out with a new line of clothing designers for the bigger girl, Pepperberry.
As I, as well as any other girl out there with a slightly more generous chest will know, finding clothes that fit and are not too tight on top, but then don't swamp us everywhere else is a complete nightmare, so I was really excited when I found their catalogue and placed an order.
Their sizes work so that you order your usual high street size, and then select if you want the bust to be curvy, really curvy or super curvy.

They have a small range of dresses and fitted tops and shirts, and I hope they expand their range - there were quite a few dresses I saw that I would have totally loved if they'd been available in a different colour most dresses are one colour only. I decided to go for the first blue jewel dress. Everything is quite reasonably priced, it was £55.

They all come nicely wrapped up in the post in boxes, and considering they offer free exchanges and returns you don't have to rip anything to get into it which would make it harder to wrap back up and send off again if you wanted to.

I initially ordered it as an evening dress, but has no idea what it would be like. Since placing the order I actually fell in love with another dress for the occasion while I was waiting for it, but decided to open it up anyway and make the decision as it if I'd return it or try to justify keeping it!

It turns out it did not really suit me and I was not entirely happy with it, but it was a very nice dress, and though the fabric was a bit clingy, it was not bad for the price. I will be ordering from Pepperberry again, because the bust area fit perfectly, and it was a comfortable pleasure to try on. I think they need to work on their collection a bit more, but they really have a good thing going launching this line.
Has anyone else ordered anything from Pepperberry yet?

I am now checking out the site. Definitely have the same problem!
ReplyDeleteI have barely any boobs since my weight loss so I can only just browse but I definitey agree with you. They've got a good concept that I'm sure could be great if they work on their collection (:
ReplyDeleteThe dress looks amazing on you :)

Beautiful dress! Cute design =)
ReplyDeleteI love the term "slightly more generous chest", ha ha :)
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful, Rachel.
That makes you look so curvy! It looks amazing on you! but I agree with you that if you don't feel right wearing something it probably doesn't matter what anybody else says :P
ReplyDeleteI have this problem! Glad to see that they've created a fashion line to stop this problem, can't believe I hadn't heard of it before this post!
ReplyDeleteThe dress looks lovely on you btw, the colour really suits your skin tone! xx

ReplyDeleteLovely dress!
ReplyDeleteVery glam! I really like the embellishments on the bust too - its nice to see that a company is finally acknowledging this problem. I really like the name too, even if it does sound like a yoghurt or something haha :)
ReplyDeleteThat does actually look really good on you. It's definitely a pretty dress. And that colour really suits you.
ReplyDeleteDid you order the other dress? Can't wait to see it.
I think the fit of this dress is gorgeous on you - these pictures of you are beautiful! I admit the style of the dress is not really my thing though. I definitely like the idea of the company, and same as you, would buy from them if they maybe had a few more fashion forward pieces.
ReplyDeleteIt just looks beautiful on you! They do seem to have very pretty stuff!

@ Sherin - I did not in the end, I think I'm going to wait and see what they have in their next collection before I order something else!
ReplyDeleteIt's not really my cup of tea, but the colour looks great on you ;) Xx.
ReplyDeleteMy boobs aren't big enough to buy from Pepperberry but they have such a great concept!
ReplyDeletethats actually pretty cool taht you can change the bust size because I am small except for my breasts like you so alot of times dresses dont fit me because of my bigger chest..
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing on you too!!

Never heard of pepperberry but I love the whole idea, too many times I have wanted something but it was too small in the bust area.
ReplyDeleteI love the colour of that dress and the packaging is so cute! xx
that dress actually looks great on you! promise. but yes, if you're not in love with it then it needs to go back. i'm all for shopping with my heart. :)
ReplyDeleteI've only found out about pepperberry because of your blog, so thank you, because I always have the problem of being too chesty, and clothes not fitting right (and having the embarrassment of buttons popping open). I'll definitely be checking them out. I'm sorry that you weren't happy with the dress in the end, though.

That sounds like such a good brand once they get going. I'm pretty small in the chest department but on the other hand, have extremely short legs and shopping can be a nightmare! Hope you find something you really like from there,

Hmmm, I'm a little cynical about clothing ranges which are designed primarily concerned with bigger chested girls, I'd worry that practicality would be more important (rather than equal to) than style. Which, I imagine, is not why you'd buy from such ranges? Surely you'd want beautiful stylish pieces that conveniently fit better. I don't think I'm making much sense but I know what I mean lol! I imagine this dress looks beautiful on the hanger, that central embellishment is lovely :) ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad
