I was putting my clothes away on my clothing rail after I'd done the ironing the other day, and I had to stop for a moment when I realised the sheer volume of nautical style, blue and white striped items that have found their way there since the beginning of the Spring. I've always enjoyed wearing things in blue, and things that are striped, but this got me thinking what other nautical inspired items I could add to my wardrobe...

Set of 6 Sugar Paper, Los Angeles Anchor Note Cards: $24, Jack Wills Striped Crew Tee: £39, Nautical Striped Beach Towel: £25, Accessorize Nautical Neck Scarf: £11, Gemma Freeman Silver Buoy Ring: £58, Sonia by Sonia Rykiel Striped Sundress: £152, Ted Baker Nautical Swimsuit: £69, Wolf & Badger Seahorse Pendant: £220, Gemma Freeman Ships Wheel Silver Earrings: £45, Benefit Benetint: £24.50, Sperry Top-Sider Deck Shoes: £71.40, Aspinal of London Nautical Keyring: £19, Rag & Bone Striped Tote: £103.25
Though this is mostly a wishlist, there a few items I have included here that I already own. Benefit's Benetint is one of the first products I purchased from my now favourite makeup brand, and I think the slightly flushed pink sheen it adds to your lips and cheeks after layered application is perfect for when you're on the deck of a friends boat. I also own these wonderful Sperry Top-Sider Boat Shoes. It is always hard to find Summer shoes that are also practical to run around in, and I don't know how I would have survived this Summer without my pair - they are really great for driving!
