There is something about a beautiful bunch of flowers or a pretty floral arrangement, be they just displayed by themselves in a plain glass vase, or done up in something a little more creative that just lifts a room and makes it the best place to spend time in your home. Back in England, my Mother loves having flowers all over her home; it has made me come to associate different blooms with different rooms; lilies belong in the drawing room, carnations and wild flowers in the kitchen, and I like white roses in my bedroom there. When Serenata Flowers got in touch with me just after Christmas offering a flower arrangement for me to give away to one of my readers, I thought it would be the perfect new year treat, as well as an excuse for me to share some of my favourite flower arrangements I've stumbled across recently and I really want to emulate at some stage. (Click on the photos for their sources, the giveaway details are listed at the end of this post!)

This first picture has to be one of my favourite arrangements I've seen recently, because for some reason it reminds me so much of home. I like the idea of using metal to display flowers; it is luxe without being too busy to distract from the blooms themselves. I'm looking forward to making some beautiful little table settings with a pair of silver goblets I picked up at the Fairfax Trading Post Flea Market in West Hollywood.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I adore white roses in the bedroom. However, the Diptyque candle in this shot has me thinking about mini floral arrangements, perhaps for the dressing or bedside table that could be put together in old Diptyque jars - how pretty would that be?

At home our flower holder of choice is usually a white enamel jug, but I love what has been done here (I think this was for a wedding) with a metal jug to give a little rustic feel to some wilder, more earthy blooms.

Now, onto the details of the giveaway! My UK readers will be happy to know, especially as my last giveaway was US and Canada only, that this giveaway is open to UK Mainland Residents only, but I do have a Worldwide giveaway coming up soon when this one finishes! It is all explained in the Rafflecopter box below, but to enter all you have to to is leave a comment on this post telling me which floral arrangement you'd order for yourself if you won, and for additional entries you can follow me on Twitter or Facebook!
