Wish List: Treat Yourself To A Little Something From Kaleidoscope

While usually I'm quite good at not spending my money on everything pretty that seems to come along, sometimes every girl has the right to treat herself to a little something. Maybe you've just started a new job, finished writing a massive university essay or you've reached a massive breakthrough with your blogging targets; it is time to treat yourself to something, even if it is something small like a new bottle of bubble bath for a nice long soak or a pastry from your favourite coffee shop. So, in this wishlist for online retailer Kaleidoscope, I thought 'treats' would be the perfect theme for my post.

Dresses are something you buy for a special occasion. I know dress shopping for a specific dress can be an absolute nightmare and you never find exactly what you're looking for; hours of long and stressful shopping trips with either my best friend or my mother when one or both of us has needed something to wear stands testament to this. This is why I think that if you see a beautiful dress that fits and looks good on you, you should treat yourself to it if you think you deserve it; regardless of if you have somewhere in mind to wear it to yet. You'll thank me later! Another thing we never treat ourselves to unless it is something we need is pretty underwear. Black lace bras for the win!

Something we never seem to buy for ourselves (we just wait for people to give it to us as a gift) is perfume. Mentally casting into my room at my dressing table, the only two full sized perfume bottles I have in there (not samples) are Miss Dior which was a Christmas gift from my parents, as every prior bottle of that scent has been, and the original Orla Kiely scent that reminds me so much of London and my best friend Kathryn gave me for my 19th Birthday. Both gifts. I don't think I have actually treated myself to a new scent (though there are loads I'd love to have and I adore) since I was in my early teens, experimented with what suited me up until I landed onto Miss Dior. Even if you have a signature scent, if you like to sometimes mix it up a bit, a bottle of perfume is the perfect present to yourself.

Have you had cause to treat yourself to a little something special recently?

  1. I love that dress too! I haven't treated myself lately . . . . but after reading this post I may pull the trigger on some products I've been eyeing!

  2. I've been saying for a while that I'd really love to build a bit more of a "perfume wardrobe." It's so nice to have different scents to try on, depending on your mood!
