Retrospective: Goodbye, Los Angeles

And so comes to the end of my posts from Los Angeles. I've settled back into life in England okay; I never really suffer from jet lag, so once the first day was over and I got my new phone set up, I was good and ready to go. I'm almost sorted with the unpacking and paperwork, and enjoying being back to work my first week on site, rather than working remotely for Pilgrims Nook Holiday Cottages. I'm rather excited to be off to London for the first time since I got back tomorrow for a few meetings and errands, and I hope you enjoy this last LA post, which is something of a round up of my favourite posts from the past 10 months in the city.

Thank you Los Angeles for giving me one of the best years of my life, and thank you to all my new readers I've gained from writing about things to do and places to eat in and around the city. I hope you'll stick with me for more recipes, as well as some ideas of where to eat and visit in London next time you visit, and a massive thank you to all my London readers who have stuck with me over the past 10 months; I promise you the next restaurant post I put online will be featuring somewhere you can actually dine at!

  1. Yay! You're back! Let's arrange a London OR Canterbury meet up at some point this summer! X

  2. Yes! I'll let you know when I have free time between/ after meetings in London this Summer up until I move back, and Canterbury will be perfect any time as long as I'm not in France, and once I'm happy driving by myself again; I was a terrible and nervous driver before I stopped driving for 10 months only a month or two after passing my test, and I'm not quite up to going out by myself yet!

  3. Welcome back, Rachel! :) I really enjoyed your LA posts, thanks for sharing your experience with us!

(BTW, I recently saw a movie and one of the character's name was Rachel Phipps, made me chuckle!)

  6. I adored LA, and I think I am going to miss it, even though I'm absolutely over the moon to be home at last. Hopefully, fingers crossed if my meetings go okay tomorrow my first London post this year should be up sometime next week!

  7. Hmm, Revenge of the Bridesmaids? Something like that. It was pretty bad to be honest, I could only stomach 5 minutes of it... but it was enough to see your name on the characters' name plate in jail! Haha :p
