Weekly Meal Plan: Takeaway Favourites

I’ve been craving takeaway recently, but rather than ordering in I’ve been indulging in some healthier versions of my favourite takeaway classics at home. So, if you to fancy a Friday Fakeaway every night next week, here is a Weekly Meal Plan of takeaway favourites you can make at home every night next week!

Monday: Sweet & Sour Chicken

Say no to the neon orange stuff you can order in: this is one of my favourite recipes on the entire site, a method for Sweet and Sour Chicken with plenty of onions, peppers and pineapple in a sweet and sour tangy sauce that is so much better for you but which still tastes amazing – I’ve also adapted it for the air fryer, too!

Tuesday: Thai-style Prawn and Pineapple Fried Rice

Fried rice is one of my all time favourite comfort foods, and here it is jazzed up with shiitake mushrooms, plump prawns, chunks of caramelised pineapple, and a generous few dashes of fish sauce. Yum!

Wednesday: Aloo Gosht

I love this simple slow cooked lamb and potato curry for it’s short ingredient list yet bold flavours. It only involves a little prep so get it going once you’re in the door and all you then have to do is stir it occasionally whilst you get on with other things.

Thursday: Kimchee Fried Cauliflower Rice

Topped with a sesame fried, sunny-side up egg this lighter kimchee fried rice is made with cauliflower rice for a healthier yet totally delicious fakeaway treat to enjoy in front of the television.

Friday: Seared Steak Poke

Something a bit more fun for a Friday night, one of my Deliveroo favourites, poke, but made with seared steak tossed in a sesame dressing instead which deletes the need to mess around with raw fish on a weeknight. Customise it with your favourite toppings, and enjoy the weekend!

And a few sundries to go with it all: Fresh Spinach Saag Aloo, Cucumber Raita Salad Plate, Sri Lankan Yellow Rice, Indian Spiced Potatoes, Vegetarian Kimbap, Korean Soy Rice Cakes, Air Fryer Korean Fried Chicken Wings, Korean Iced Green Tea, Spicy Tinned Tuna Sushi Rolls, Homemade Sesame Prawn Toasts, Korean Cucumber Salad, Hoisin Crispy Duck Pancakes, Air Fryer Samosas, Spicy Chinese Cucumber Salad.
